Radical and Paradoxical Thoughts in Spirituality 

It is rather interesting to note that spirituality is truly a way of radical thinking. 

Let's start with Christ when he said - " Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth" and even "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven".

Firstly, how can meekness and being poor in spirit enable anyone to achieve anything in life? But Christ says these words. This is clearly a paradox. 

Then Rumi, the most well know Sufi Master, talks of radical love which is like ivy that sucks every nutrient out of the tree before moving to another "victim". How is that love then? 

What are your thoughts on this? anyone out there?

Eat Pray and Love

3 words that can make a man happy. But only if the words were turned around a little.

Pray, Love and Eat....

I prayed for a lovely wife, i found one and she loves me and i love her cuz her cooking is
amazingly delicious. I prayed, loved and ate. That only lasts for a couple of months...maybe
a year or two...until the kids come. And the kids are so wonderful.
for them its Eat, Play and Eat...that's all they do! For me its Eat, Shit and clean up (they eat the food, shit around the house and i have to clean it up!)

As they grow bigger, its Play, Pay and Pray... They play all day long and don't study much. I Pay for all the bills until i start praying .....to end all of this..

I work all my life now to make them happy (wife and kids) and all i do is Work, Work and Work.
Can't spend time with my wife...even though she spent all the money to keep herself slim and sexy.

Slowly the kids leave the house one by one and find it hard to live in the outside world..
Meantime, i am forced to retire and now i Laze, Walk (around the house) and Irritate (the hell out of
my wife)... the kids ask if they can come back...not because they love..but they can't afford the cost
of living out there... They meet someone and again they too Pray, Love and Eat....

Meantime, i am about leave this world... now i Medicate (to take care of the old age pains), Defacate (can't help it ..if i've got loose bowels at this age now), and Wait (for death to quickly come) ...


forget Pray, Love and Eat.... its Eat Pray and Love alright...

I want to eat as much as i want and whenever i want.. I pray i don't get married and have kids and i know i will Love my life if that happens...

Its Time to get back on line...and get things going

It's amazing that the world has so much to offer in terms of mysticism, spirituality, God, Science, Love and compassion- yet we still find something is missing, something not there, something we feel needs to be tailored for us. With all our expectations and wants in life, many of us are stuck with what is needed first rather than want we truly want.

There is so much talk about spirituality and that meditation, looking inwards is key to keeping our sanity in check, in keeping our balance between what is right for the body and mind and what is right for the soul, that we still don't want to get to it and do it.


There is the talk on law of attraction, Deepak Chopra's seven spiritual laws of success, SriKumar Rao's book on "Are you ready to succeed?", Wayne Dyer's book on "the power of intention, the Secret, .. and so on... tons and tons of books on how to use (or abuse) nature to fulfill your personal desires, that one starts to wonder that - if we were meant to read the books or listen to these "spiritual consultants" " then why are they not the richest men or women in the world, why do they make money telling others how to get what they want.... if they got what they wanted, then why bother telling the world about it. Perhaps nature wanted them to understand the concept but not share it because its a personal journey, its something you figure it out yourself. And shouldn't that be free? What is the cost of spirituality?

Personally, i don't have the answers. I know the realm of that spiritual kingdom is within ourselves and i think we all have a personal journey which God, or any other supernatural source up there, had a plan for us. For if He is all knowing, then He knows what is going to happen to us in the future, else He can't be an all knowing God. If i have to use law of attraction, or the power of my intention to get what i want... then the theory that God exists is defunct.

So, perhaps God actually wanted us to know the concepts of intention and attraction, so much so, he wanted to give us what we wanted, thinking it was us and not Him all along.

Well... lets see what happens... let me start manifesting the life i want... and see if it was mine in the first place....
